'Mahajula Li' – The Sanskrit word 'Maha' means “Great” and “Jula” (as I discovered only after this nick name came to my mind) means “that which is hanging from both sides”, like a bridge or a seesaw, but also alluding to 'Jewel' and 'Majhule' (a particularly delicious kind of date). The indefinite pitch of the Tibetan singing bowl, produced using a cello bow, and the definite pitch of the marimba, represent a continuous dialogue between the conscious and the subconscious. Towards the end a 'Bat Kol' (literally “daughter of voice”, concerns a “heavenly or divine voice”) is heard, carrying a message in the matter of the passing nature of our world.
